The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a voluntary and non-competitive program that actively encourages students to undertake community service, skill and physical recreation requirements outside of school hours. The international award program forges stronger links between the schools and the wider community and at the same time develops participants’ confidence and skills in leadership, initiative and team work.

At Mater Maria Catholic College, the College offers the Bronze Award to Year 9 students, the Silver Award to Year 10 students and the Gold Award to Year 11 or Year 12 students.
