The Music Department at Mater Maria is a dynamic and energetic department led by dedicated staff who are committed to the development of music education across a number of areas.

The classroom music courses are enriched in a number of ways at Mater Maria Catholic College. A musical tuition system is in place, where students can receive individual instrumental and vocal tuition on school premises during the school day. The half-hour lesson is arranged as a private agreement with our expertly qualified and experienced tutors. Current lessons offered at the College include singing, piano, keyboard, clarinet, saxophone, flute, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass guitar, percussion and drums.

There are many ensembles that contribute to the musical life of the College.
