The Mater Maria Catholic College swimming carnival, held in the first weeks of Term 1, is the only pathway to further representation at the College. This is a compulsory event for all students and takes place during the school day.

The swimming carnival is always an engaging event for staff, students and parents that provides laughs, thrills and spills much to everyone’s entertainment. Following this is a very comprehensive and busy program of swimming events at an Interschool level where progression to National level can be achieved.

From our annual College swimming carnival, students are selected to compete at a number of inter-school carnivals which ultimately prepare them for the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay Championships at the end of Term 1.
