All students in Years 7 to 12 are eligible to enter into team events for the tennis competition. There are three divisions, junior, intermediate and senior.

Mater Maria Catholic College enters teams in the Peninsula Interschool Tennis Competition. It is a round robin competition played weekly during term 1 at courts all over the Northern Beaches. The teams play both singles and double matches.

Teams are also selected to play in the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay Tennis Gala Day in October. Further representative opportunities exist for talented students who may be selected for the Diocesan team, should they perform well at the Broken Bay Competition. Players may progress further to the National level.
