In the senior years, Mater Maria Catholic College offers students advice and information on the wide range of opportunities that are available for school leavers. In addition to individual interviews, the College invites a variety of tertiary providers to present to Year 12s. There is also a website dedicated to careers covering up to date information  from tertiary providers, a calendar of careers events and general information on future prospects.

In Year 10, prior to subject selections, there is a forum where parents have the opportunity to speak about their own careers, and this is followed up with individual interviews in which they are further guided as to subjects.
