Child Protection

At Mater Maria Catholic College everyone has the right to feel safe but sometimes young people do not feel safe or are in a situation where they are experiencing physical, psychological, emotional or sexual harm.  All staff are expected to promote child safety by having a clear understanding of their legal child protection responsibilities and act in accordance with those responsibilities.

Mater Maria Catholic College staff are required to maintain professionalism in their interaction with children and young people and exercise the appropriate duty of care. Concerns relating to our child protection responsibilities are taken very seriously and should be communicated to the College Principal.
