College Uniform

Dress Code

Students should remember that they are ambassadors for Mater Maria Catholic College and should wear their uniform correctly and with pride at all times keeping the following in mind:

  • The College uniform should be clean and neat at all times
  • Shoes should be polished
  • Only all leather school shoes must be worn in TAS, Science and VET Hospitality practical lessons
  • Blazers are compulsory and must be worn to and from the College during Terms 2 and 3
  • Boys’ shorts and trousers are to be worn with a black leather belt
  • Shirts should be appropriately sized for their age and build and allow for it to be tucked into the shorts or trousers for boys
  • The length of girls’ skirts and dresses should be a respectable length, no shorter than 5cm above the knee
  • College school bags may not be marked with liquid paper, paint or texta. A student’s name may be marked in a neat and simple manner for identification purposes only.

SUMMER – TERMS 1 & 4

Compulsory:

  • White short sleeve shirt with College crest (shirt must be tucked in if worn with a tie)
  • Grey tailored serge shorts
  • Plain black leather belt (no brands)
  • College grey socks with green stripes
  • Black leather lace-up shoes with a block heel
  • College school bag

Optional:

  • Senior black stripe tie
  • Black cap with Mater logo

WINTER – TERMS 2 & 3

Compulsory:

  • White long sleeve shirt with College crest (tucked in and top button done up)
  • Grey tailored trousers
  • Senior black blazer with College crest
  • Plain black leather belt (no brands)
  • Senior black stripe tie
  • College grey socks with green stripes
  • Black leather lace-up shoes with a block heel
  • College school bag.

Optional:

  • College woollen black V neck jumper
  • Black cap with Mater logo
  • Black gloves
  • Black scarf
  • Black rain jacket (no brands)

  • White short sleeve blouse with College crest and beading
  • Plain white socks (no sports socks)
  • Black leather lace-up shoes with a block heel

  • Black and grey stripe tailored shorts
  • Black cap with Mater logo

WINTER – TERMS 2 & 3

Compulsory:

  • Polo sports shirt
  • Green sports shorts
  • Unisex track jacket
  • Unisex track pants
  • Short white sport socks (no football socks to be worn)
  • Lace up jogger style or cross trainers (no casual or lifestyle footwear are permitted due to their flat sole and less flexible design which can cause safety issues in PE and sport lessons)

Optional:

  • College sports bag 
  • Black cap with Mater logo 

Note – Years 7 and 8 students may wear their sports uniform to and from the College on their Activities Day and for PDHPE practical lessons. All items must be clearly marked with the student’s name. Students who do not wear the correct uniform will receive demerits and may be placed on a uniform detention.

Pickles Schoolwear is our uniform supplier. Uniforms can be purchased through their Brookvale Retail Outlet or online.

The Sustainable School Shop

Second hand uniforms, text books, calculators, musical instruments and sports gear etc. are available to purchase from The Sustainable School Shop.

Each family that registers on the website will be provided with a subscription.

PLEASE NOTE: the uniform has recently changed and Year 7 students must wear the new uniform. At this stage there would be very few items available.

Pre-Loved School Uniform Shop

As part of a new initiative of the Parents-in Partnership (PiP) Committee, we are reintroducing the MMCC Pre-Love Uniform Shop to sell good quality second-hand uniforms at 70% discount of the RRP.

The Pre-Loved Uniform Shop will operate by seeking donations of good quality uniforms from our community that will be sold at an affordable price. This will support our families financially and also promote environmentally friendly. Any surplus cash will be donated to a community charity.
