Some of the Year 8 English students at Mater Maria have recently been learning about filmmaking. Students applied their knowledge of film techniques by creating horror film trailers! They collaborated in small groups where they pitched ideas, created storyboards, filmed footage, and then considered the art of cinematic editing.
The students celebrated their masterpieces by attending a class film premiere in the Byrne Theatre. Ms Kontoulas is very proud of her class and is looking forward to being mentioned in future Academy Award speeches!
